- cheaper / faster / busier比較便宜、比較快、比較忙單音節字加 -er；子音加 -y 結尾的字改成 -ier
- more reliable / more expensive比較可靠、比較貴多數兩個音節以上的形容詞用 more + 原級
- more quietly / more efficiently更安靜地、更有效率地-ly 副詞的比較級用 more + 副詞，不加 -er
- far / much / slightly cheaper便宜得多、稍微便宜一點far、much、slightly、even 可以修飾比較級，very 不行
